Our middle "adult child" is a genetic female who came out to us 19 years ago as a lesbian and came out to us again last year as an FtM transsexual. Since he has started transition we have just recently begun adapting to the new name and new pronouns. Last year was a challenging one for us as the TS issue arose on the heels of our (genetic) son's diagnosis of leukemia.
